The Fantree, Our Symbol
DKSH's logo has been developed from this trademark first registered at the end of the 19th century

The fantree takes its name from the distinctive cluster of foliage branching out from the top of its stem. Very often, this uniquely striking plant is called the "traveler's palm”. The name "traveler's palm” stems from the fact that thirsty travelers can find water in many parts of the tree, which may hold up to one liter of liquid. According to legend, if a traveler stands in front of a fantree and makes a wish in good spirit, their wish will definitely come true.

Reportedly as early as 1899, a fantree trademark was being employed by the Saigon bureau of Diethelm & Co. Ltd., established in 1890. The fantree then served as the symbol of the entire Diethelm merchant house, before becoming the official logo of the merged Diethelm Keller Group and ultimately of DKSH.
